I'm here really!!!   I know its been an awful long time.   So much has happened.   I traveled with my two girlfriends to Ethiopia and picked up my little baby.  My insurance company refused to cover her and I finished school and have no job!   Well I could still sell real estate, so I kind of a job but not it is very very scary!!!!!  I want to blog my trip but I am exhausted!!!!

I know I owe some of you updates.  I am working on it I promise.  Also, I will be posting about all things Lulu, on her blog www.100percentlulu.blogspot.com.   Now don't rush over there because there is nothing to see!!! But I am on it.  Really... just as soon as I get some sleep.   I am TIRED.

Lulu is the bomb and my family is completely enamored.  I love her dearly but this is a lot of work... I got some adjusting to do.

  1. Welcome Home Lulu!! You too Robbin! She is soo adorable!!

  2. so cute hang in there girl

  3. We Love you guys! Get rest and you can convince me...you know I'm easy! LOL

  4. Cutie Pie! Congrats. I can't wait to read more about your trip! Don't worry, you'll adjust. It just takes a little time.

  5. Welcome home! Yes, it is a TON of work. It took me a long time to adjust...even though I loved her like crazy, it wasn't an instant mother/daughter bond. But nine months later I am completely bonded to my fabulous daughter. Whenever you get overwhelmed, or feel guilty about how you are doing with motherhood, just remember that it WILL get better.

    Lulu is absolutely adorable!

  6. Hey girl!!!! It was so nice meeting you! I hope everything is going well with your precious one! Samuel is doing wonderful! but one day at a time!!

  7. Congratulations! She is just beautiful!

  8. I know how you feel; it takes a while to get fully "with it" when you return home. Lulu is gorgeous. Can't wait to read more about her at her blog!

  9. Welcome home Mommy and Lulu!!
Love the video of her - I almost cried when she starting crying in her crib.

I hope you're catching up on your rest and settling into a routine with your baby girl.

  10. Robbin,
She is beautiful. Congratulations. Get some rest.

  11. welcome home family! She is just beautiful. I hope things fall together soon on the job and insurance front. Lucy is sensing some competition in the cuteness department.

  12. Welcome home Robbin. I'm sorry that we didn't get to meet you in Ethiopia. Hopefully Grace and Lulu will play together some day!

Get some rest! It DOES get easier!

  13. Congrats and Welcome Home.

Princess Lulu is cute . I can't wait to see/hear more about your new daughter and your trip.

BTW; email me and I can help you with the insurance company, if needed.

  14. Congratulations on your beautiful daughter!

  15. Hi Robbin,

Your daughter is absolutely precious. Congratulations! I was wondering if you took pictures of the babies in the Gladney Care Centers while you were there. Our baby is in the Foster Care Center #1. I would love to send you her picture and name to see if you have a picture of her. I know you are very busy, but if you get a chance to e-mail me my address is cscroggin2000 at yahoo dot com and our blog is www.selamandlove.blogspot.com

  16. Congratulations on your beautiful daughter.

Not sure if your insurance company has relented but you can get the Insurance Commissioner Office involved and she'll have coverage before you know it. We had issues with our 3rd peanut...once I called the ICO, we had coverage by the end of the day.

  17. Robbin,
I have been following your blog via the FBI list. I noticed that you live in SE Michigan. We are in Ann Arbor. Our son Turo is also from the Sidama area of Ethiopia (I was on Lulu's blog). We just moved back to Michigan from Dallas, so we haven't connected with any other adoptive families yet. We would be up for meeting for a playdate, coffee, lunch and/or dinner. I can be reached at livewithlaughter at hotmail.com
